Just remember to buy the tips which I get at the local AT@T store at a discount. Works great on all types of products. I've already charged a cell phone and IPOD.
I bought this kit because I wanted a travel charger for my kindle 1 and my husband also needed a new car charger for his phone. I would have liked a case that fit everything, but it does work for carrying everything to charge in the car. I figured this was a better deal since the charger would always be good and we could just replace the tips, which are cheaper than a new charger.I bought tips for his phone, my phone (iGo A32 Power tip for Blackberry Smartphones and other select devices) which also works for the GPS, Mobility iGo Tip A133 for iPhone and iPod, and iGo TP00688-0002 Nintendo DS Lite A88 Power Tip. On our latest trip we were able to travel with just the one cord and all the little tips.
The tips are easy to change and it works great. I stayed a lot more organized and was able to keep everything charged. Sometimes the splitter had some trouble charging two items at once--for some reason the GPS would take all the power and not allow the ipod to charge. I love being able to use it either for the car or a wall plug. Overall, I love this item. I found that buying the one charger for his phone would cost as much as this and was only good for his phone.
We did a lot of driving and could charge both the ipod and a phone at the same time. No more wondering what I did with the cord for something--I just need the one cord and the tips, which I keep all together. I also bought iGo Power Splitter Dual Charging Accessory for iGo Chargers and the iGo Dualpower Accessory so we could charge multiple items at once and the iGO PS00271-0001 USB to iGo Charging Cable so I can use them with the computer.I take all my electronics on trips with me and hate carrying all the cords--I lose things to easily and they make a mess, etc. Everything fits into the included case except the wall plug.
I am very disappointed that I now have to purchase another tip when it was to come with the charger. I contacted Amazon and was told that I would have to return the tip, at my expense, and order another one to replace it. I will be very cautious about what I order from them in the future. When I ordered the charger I understood that I would receive the right tip for using with the charger to charge my Kindle2 in my car. When I received the charger I got the wrong tip.
No problems with receiving the merchandise as scheduled. I like having one set of charging equipment that I can keep in a small case and just grab when I travel, and leave the rest of my charging equipment in my charging station at home. I ordered this to have a universal charger that would eliminate carrying around lots of cords and chargers when I travel. It came with the Kindle tip, which was the primary reason I ordered it, but I am having some problems locating the extra tips for the rest of my electronics.
I update later as it use it more I liked th efact that it has the rectractable cable. I bought this to make sure I am never without power for the kindle. It is cool that it has both ac and dc power.
